It’s burdensome & wearisome, woeful & dismal, but with no such split & with no awareness of it, roving within the falsely alive wake world unremembering dreams, or abiding in the delightful dream world unseeing the horror of the wake world, or not arising from the netherworld, where you may behold Hypnos, which in ancient poetry is dear to the «violet-wreathed Muses», & together with delight & love is bestowed by music & song, & bestows the soul-nourishing dreams, you could not make the wake world’s emptiness ebb & wane faintly by abiding & roving between the worlds, evoking shapes through your writing & sweeping your harp’s chords, long pale fingers rippling & breaking like waves …
